Funding for FOF can be attained from a number of sources:
- The Care and Prevention in the United States (CAPUS) Funds were awarded by the CDC in 2012 to reduce HIV and AIDS-related morbidity and mortality among racial and ethnic minorities living in the United States. Funds awarded to eight health departments (GA, IL, LA, MS, MI, NC, TN, VA) can be used to fund FOF.
- PS 12-1201 Category C "Demonstration Projects to Implement and Evaluate Innovative, High Impact HIV Prevention Interventions and Strategies") funded by the CDC can be used for FOF.
- Existing HIV or STD prevention funds at your agency
Agencies interested in implementing FOF can receive assistance from CAI to seek out and apply for funds.
